Scotts Head is a relaxed, beautiful coastal town
located halfway between Brisbane and Sydney. It is
only one hour drive south of Coffs Harbour and north
of Port Macquarie.
Scotts Head is basically made up of three beaches.
Most northerly is Big Beach (or more properly
Forster Beach). The southern end of Big Beach, is a
great safe swimming spot and also has a nice point
wave for mal riders. Further north along the beach
there are also often nice beach breaks. Big Beach is
patrolled during the holiday season.
South of Big Beach is Little Beach which is a great
spot for short board riders and body surfers and
more experienced swimmers. There is no life saving
service at Little Beach.Big Beach and Little Beach
are separated by the Scotts Head headland.
The headland at the south end of Little Beach is
named Elephant head and the beaches beyond that
are named Turtle Cove (sometimes called Pirate
Cove) and finally Wakki Beach.
There are many things to do at Scotts Head
including surfing, diving, fishing, bowls, tennis,
bushwalking, boating, horse riding and scenic
drives.
